   However, Jack Oguda, the Mathare United manager, said the clubs never agreed on the issue terming all that took place at the yesterday meeting as "proposals and not resolutions".

   "While we agree to take part in a unified league next season, the number of teams should not exceed 16 otherwise we are just going backward three years," said Oguda in a press conference.
   
   Oguda said the idea of the clubs which featured in the hampions League is that the top seven teams from the parallel leagues in the just concluded be retained and a mini-league organised to promote two others.
   
   He said that the teams which do not merit to be in the Premier League are the ones pushing for a 24-team league.
   
   "The officials of this teams are pushing it but we will not accept," said Oguda ".
   
   He was supported by Tusker FC manager, Keneth Omondi, who said the idea of having a 24-team league was just a proposal which and had been agreed upon by the KFG clubs.
   
   Oguda said among the clubs which were for a 16-club league included Ulinzi, Coast Stars, Gor Mahia and Chemilil.
   
   Interestingly, the clubs said at the meeting that they were for a big league.
   
   Oguda said he was speaking on behelf of all the teams which featured in the Champions League.
