• Diane Oakes, chief executive officer of the Girl Scouts of Kaw Valley Council, was chosen for an executive leadership program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania March 23-28.
Girl Scouts of the USA sponsors the program to further prepare key Girl Scout executives for leadership and to lead organizational change.
Oakes and other Girl Scout executives worked with Wharton professors, who lead their fields in management, operations, technological innovation, leadership and change management.
Girl Scouts of Kaw Valley Council serves more than 6,000 girls and has more than 2,000 active volunteers serving 13 counties in northeast Kansas.
