After receiving his degree, Jim joined the faculty at St. Andrew's, Victoria, as a teacher of music and English.In 1983, he helped, with other faculty members, to establish St. Andrew's High School on McKenzie Avenue.In 1984 he returned to St. Andrew's Elementary as head teacher.He remained at St. Andrew's until 2001, serving as vice-principal then principal.Over the last five years he continued to serve Island Catholic Schools as an administrator at both St. Joseph's and St. Patrick's in Victoria.Last June he was appointed religious education coordinator for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Victoria.
