Steven P. Norris has been in fund development for nearly ten years. Upon graduation from Letourneau University in Longview, Texas, Steven joined The Salvation Army Kansas and Western Missouri Division as Assistant Director of Development. While in Kansas City, Steven was awarded an MPA degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Four years later, Steven transferred to The Salvation Army Southwest Division located in Phoenix, Arizona. There, he served as Director of Planned Giving and was responsible for the planned giving program in southern Phoenix, northwest Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada. In May of 2005, Steven accepted his current position as Director of Development for The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. In this role, Steven works primarily with donors of the institution interested in making gifts through their estate plans. Steven is a member of the National Committee on Planned Giving and the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy. Steven and his wife, Kristi, have two sons, Preston and Peyton.

Steven Norris earned his Bachelor's in Business from LeTourneau University, Longview, Texas, and his Master's in Public Administration/Non-Profit Management, at the University of Missouri.In the fall of 2000, Steven came to his current Planned Giving Director position in the Southwest Division, after 3 and ½ years as the Assistant Development Director for The Salvation Army, Kansas & Western Missouri Division.He serves the southern Phoenix Metropolitan area, Northwest Arizona, and southern Nevada, by meeting with current Planned Giving Donors, Estate Planning Professionals and those interested in making a Planned Gift to The Salvation Army.Steven married his wife Kristi in 1997; they make their home in Mesa.He enjoys golf, flying, attending church, and spending time with family and friends.Steven's parents, grandparents as well as great grandparents all served as career Salvation Army officers.
