Simon Norris is an associate in the London office of Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft LLP, a member of the Global Finance Group and the recipient of the 2003 Assistant Solicitor of the Year Award from The Lawyer magazine.Mr. Norris has experience in a number of sectors, including infrastructure and transport, power, oil & gas and telecoms.He has represented developers, investors, financial institutions, and governmental entities, and has experience in working with export credit and multilateral agencies.
Mr. Norris has been involved in a wide,range of projects in the UK, Africa, Europe and Latin America.His recent experience includes advising in relation to port projects in Mozambique, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana and South Africa; a natural gas pipeline project from Mozambique to South Africa; an aluminium smelter in Wales; and the development of power,related projects in Ireland, Zambia, Uganda, Tanzania, Egypt and Mali; and emergency power plants in Brazil.Mr. Norris was also involved in advising on the establishment of a debt fund for infrastructure projects in Africa.
He has written numerous articles on public,private partnerships, political risk insurance, project finance and construction issues and has spoken at conferences on financing infrastructure projects.
