Rebecca Nordquist got her start in publishing 10 years ago.During that time, she has worked as the copy editor for magazines including MXracer, Bike and Skateboarder, served as the copy chief for Swell.com and its sister sites, and contributed as a writer and editor for various action sports publications.That includes her current position as freelance associate editor for ASR's LineUp magazine.In addition to magazine and Web-based media, Rebecca has also copyedited books, which include 30 Years of Flame: California's Legendary Surf Photographer, Surfline's California Surf Guide and the modern-day translation of Dante's Inferno.She was also the editor for the short-story collection Return by Water.Most recently Rebecca created content for Harcourt Trade Publishers's Web site, where she interviewed bestselling authors Umberto Eco, Ralph Steadman, Kaye Gibbons and Temple Grandin, among others.Born and raised in Southern California, Rebecca briefly lived in China and taught English (and survived the SARS epidemic).
