Judith Nolte Elected to National Board of Trustees of March of Dimes
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., MARCH 25, 2004 - Judith Nolte, Editor-in-Chief of American Baby Magazine Group, has been elected to the national Board of Trustees of the March of Dimes, it was announced today.
March of Dimes trustees, who serve as volunteers, represent the public in governing the organization and advancing its mission to save babies from birth defects, infant mortality, and premature birth.
Ms. Nolte has been a volunteer leader for the March of Dimes since the mid-1980s, when she was recruited to serve on its National Communications Advisory Council, a group she has now chaired for more than two decades.She also served on the Board of the Greater New York Chapter in the early 1990s and of its Communications Committee.
Prior to joining American Baby, Ms. Nolte was on the editorial staff of several Conde Nast magazines.And from 1980-1983, she was Editor-in-Chief of Weight Watchers magazine, along with her American Baby responsibilities.
Ms. Nolte holds a B.S. degree from the University of Minnesota and an M.A. from New York University.Among her industry associations, she was on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Magazine Editors for 15 years and served as president from l986-l988.
