Jarett Nixon is a member of Donahue Gallagher Woods LLP's intellectual property and corporate groups.He has advised and assisted companies with diverse matters, including the protection of trade secrets in the U.S. and abroad, licensing, and business entity formation.He has also worked with clients to create national and international distribution and sales agreements, and has evaluated and negotiated complex settlements of copyright infringement matters.

Mr. Nixon earned his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he was Co-Editor-in-Chief and a founder of the Hastings Business Law Journal.Mr. Nixon was also awarded a Fellowship at Pepperdine University's Straus Institute, where he earned a Masters degree in Dispute Resolution.He has served as a panel member of the California Academy of Mediation Professionals, and has mediated a wide variety of civil litigation cases for the California Superior Court.

Mr. Nixon graduated with honors from Tulane University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Political Economy.During his undergraduate and graduate school studies, he operated a technology design and consultation company whose clients grew to include international banks and law and architecture firms.

Mr. Nixon was born in Costa Rica, is conversant in Spanish, and is a member of the State Bar of California.

is co-Editor-in-Chief of the Hastings Business Law Journal, and has a broad background in business, mediation, and technology.During his time at Hastings, he received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence and the CALI Award for the highest grade in Contract Drafting and Analysis; took First Place in the World in the ICODR International Law Student Negotiation Competition; Second Place in the 2004 ABA Environmental Law Negotiation Competition; and earned an Oral Advocacy Award in Appellate Advocacy.As a Fellow at Pepperdine Law School's Straus Institute, he earned a Masters in Dispute Resolution, and assisted with research regarding technology and the ADR field.He has served as a panel member of the California Academy of Mediation Professionals, and has mediated a variety of civil litigation cases for the California Superior Court.Jarett founded a technology design and consultation company as a sophomore at Tulane University, where he graduated with Honors with a BA in International Political Economy.He subsequently grew the business to service a number of national and international hi-tech clients, including banks, architecture, law, and mediation firms.Jarett was a Summer Associate at Allen Matkins, where he worked extensively with their real estate and land use groups.
