Research Project: A systematic review and individual patient data meta-analysis of pressure ulcer risk factors and a systematic review of patient quality of life literature relevant to pressure ulcer prevention and treatment interventions.
Dr Jane Nixon, Deputy Head of the Clinical Trials Research Unit for the past 3 years, has been awarded the third Smith & Nephew Foundation Post-doctoral Nursing Research Award.
A collaboration between the School of Healthcare and the Clinical Trials Research Unit, the research will involve a systematic review and individual patient data meta-analysis of pressure ulcer risk factors and a systematic review of patient quality of life literature relevant to pressure ulcer prevention and treatment interventions.
This award will fund Jane's research over the next 2½ years and will provide the foundations for the development of a programme of clinical trials in the field and a collaborative European quality of life project.
