    Sue Nix

A second generation born Juneauite, Sue grew up in Auke Bay when Juneau's population was around 8 - 10,000.Sue has two grown children - six grandchildren, four of whom live in Juneau and the other two living in Seattle.

Sue's real estate career began in August 1991 after working for a financial institution for over 11 years.Since 1992, she has consistently been in the top 5% of realtors in the Juneau area for listings and sales.Repeat clients and client referrals make up the majority of her business.Sue holds the GRI (Graduate of Real Estate Institution) and ABR (Accredited Buyers' Representative) designations. She was Juneau Realtor of the Year in 1995, and has previously served on the Southeast Board of Realtors.

Sue currently volunteers for the Juneau Affordable Housing Trust board, whose mission is to help low to middle income families purchase affordable housing. This past fall and spring, she taught classes through the Community Schools Program to help first-time home homebuyers understand the process of what steps are involved in purchasing a home.

Residential sales and remote properties in the Juneau area are the main focus of her business.

In the summer, Sue and her husband live on Shelter Island, about eight nautical miles from Auke Bay and commute by boat to the mainland. Her commute is less than most urban dwellers drive and there is a lot less traffic! In the winter, they move to the mainland because weather makes commuting too difficult at times for the hours required to be available for clients.

According to Sue, the best way to work is to "Under promise and over deliver" and to give "Professional representation with a caring attitude."
