Several players were mentioned, and considered, but in the end SHC Belp selected Jim Nistas, of Toronto, Ontario.

Jim Nistas, is a two time World Champion and one of the bright young lights of our National Team.He has been signed to play as the "one foreign player" allotted to each of the 10 Swiss club teams.SHC Belp is currently sitting in 4th place and hope that Nistas will be the tonic to assist this team fight perennial powers from Sierre and Zug.National Team Coach George Gortsos, voiced his thoughts saying that, "Nistas will add a huge speed and skill element to the Belp squad.

Nistas will be flying to Switzerland in January 2008 for a three month contract.He is the first official "pro" ball hockey player being hired from the CBHA to play on a European team.Nistas is thrilled and excited with this groundbreaking opportunity, and says, "I am going over to help SHC Belp win.Plain and simple".
