   Since 1989, Qu Ning has been engaged in the training of women officials and women education. Her teachings and research focus on social sexuality and women participation in politics. Since 1990, Qu has also worked to initiate various projects involving rights protection and development of migrant women workers, changes and adjustment in workforce relationship, and the research and development projects of corporate social responsibility. She is an Associate Professor in the Scientific Sociology Department of Guangdong Women's Professional Technical College, and the Director of the Female Migrant Worker's Training Project.
