Susan Nimmanheminda, PhD LCSW, NCPsyA, CAC III practices and teaches in Boulder, CO and over the telephone, and is a faculty member at Naropa University.Susan has presented and published on the convergence of Buddhism and psychotherapy and she is a contributing co-editor of Brilliant Sanity, Buddhist Approaches to Psychotherapy.Her interests in mindfulness, Buddhism and psychoanalysis have also led her to research and write about the therapeutic processes of language.Susan works with adolescents and adults in individual, group and couples therapy.Her training in psychoanalysis is complimented by other therapeutic approaches.She is a Certified Addictions Counselor and treats people with process and substance addictions utilizing harm reduction, systems theory, EMDR, motivational interviewing, as well as psychoanalysis.Susan is a training and supervising analyst at CCMPS and the Executive Director at CCMPS.

Susan Nimmanheminda, LCSW is a Certified Psychoanalyst and a Certified Group Therapist.She's been practicing in Boulder for over 15 years, working with individuals, couples and groups.After getting her Masters of Social Work at University of Denver, she completed trainings in Holotropic Breathwork and transpersonal psychology with Stanislov Grof, and Hakomi Body Oriented Psychotherapy before pursuing psychoanalytic training at the Colorado Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies (CCMPS).

Susan is adjunct faculty at Naropa, on the faculty and Board at CCMPS, and a founding member of the Colorado Group Psychotherapy Society.She has presented on Buddhism and group therapy at the American Group Psychotherapist Association's national conference several times.
