Mary Nikas was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.She is a native of Silicon Valley, living in Los Altos most of her childhood.She attended Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo with an emphasis in California History, spent a year studying Real Estate Finance at Sacramento State, and received her Bachelors degree in Business 1990 from San Francisco State University.
After two years working in the Financial District of San Francisco as a corporate Research Assistant, aiding in the generation of research reports for initial public offerings and covered companies, Mary was offered a position with an established investigations agency.In 1998 she became a partner in the firm and took over the day-to-day operations as Chief Investigator.
Mary founded MARIN ASSOCIATES in 2003, specializing in civil and criminal fraud and collections.
Mary is the District Governor for the San Francisco district of the California Association of Licensed Investigators, a Certified member of the Council of International Investigators and a member of the International Investigators Network and the Marin County Trial Lawyers Association.She is also a certified investigator for Harassment and Discrimination Allegations.
She is a licensed California Private Investigator, holds a California Real Estate Associate's license and a Marin County Process Server's license.
Mary enjoys spending time with her two children as well as swimming, hiking, biking and playing softball.
