It's really sharp," says Trump Plaza beverage manager Jennifer Nikander.
...
"That was a crazy night," says Nikander."It was packed here.Every time there's a big event next door we hope to do something like that and take advantage of the before and after crowds of the concert. This whole casino gets packed during a Boardwalk Hall concert because everyone parks here at the Plaza and walks over there [as Hall parking is limited]."
The demographics of the Liquid Bar's patrons will often vary with what act is next door, but Nikander says there has been a pretty good mix since it first opened on June 24.
"During nice days we'll get a lot of walk-in business off the Boardwalk from people who just want to take a break and relax with a drink," she says."In the summertime, when the Beach Bar closes down [around 2am] they all flock in here.We do our best business in the summer when the Beach Bar closes for the night."
Nikander, who also manages the Beach Bar, says the Liquid Bar is open 24/7 in the summer.Currently it closes at 4am and reopens at 10am.During the summer it offers outdoor seating on the Boardwalk with lounge chairs and an awning, all of which is taken in when the Beach Bar closes.
"The whole beach bar scene [which began about four years ago, the Plaza one of the originals] has really been great for us," says Nikander.
