Kathy Nelsen, Spa Director, has run Kabuki for the last five years in the organic and earthy tradition of rustic northern retreats."I would hope that we have some of the vibe of Orr [Hot Springs]," she said."The fact is we can't get up to Orr all that often.You can't always take the weekend and do that three-hour drive."

Besides Swedish and Shiatsu massage and a variety of facials, Kabuki offers acupuncture and ayurveda treatments."Men are doing more body polishes which is always good because it stimulates the circulation and the lymphatic system," Nelsen said."It leaves your skin really soft."

"We're trying to be this democratic urban spa that's right here in the center of town that anybody can come to," Nelsen explained.
