Shortly after their call, the BCPA received a message from Phil Nealy, admissions advisor for Sprott-Shaw Community College.

Also someone who uses a wheelchair, Nealy put in an offer to help with any projects the association was undertaking.

    Quinn's name came up.

Nealy thought of the school's construction framing course, put two-and-two together and voila, seven -days later he had a team of volunteers installing the ramp at Quinn's house.

"Although it's a small ramp for us, it's a huge opportunity for him," Nealy said.

The Sprott-Shaw contribution came from an initial request through the B.C. Paraplegic Association which, in turn, was contacted by Sprott-Shaw admissions adviser Phil Nealy.

"If we can help improve someone's quality of life or if we can add something to a park or make it wheelchair accessible, let me know," said Nealy who is a quadriplegic and was intent on developing a project to help someone in the community.
