- Millicent Nealy, an incumbent on the Robeson County school board, is running for her second term on the board and an at-large seat.
Nealy spent more than 30 years with the Robeson County school system as a teacher, teacher evaluator and principal.She graduated from Pembroke State University and Appalachian State University, and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in elementary education and early childhood education.
"I think there a lot of good, positive things going on in our schools, and I want another four years to see some of those things through," Nealy said."We have a superintendent in place who has good vision and long-range goals.I want to be there to support those."
Retired since 1995, Nealy is a PSRC board member and is a member of the Kiwanis of Lumberton, Junior Achievement board, FFA Alumni board and a member of East Lumberton Baptist Church.
