  The Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division filed a complaint today in Pierce County Superior Court accusing Big Ideas Direct, LLC, of Woodinville, and owners Jeffrey Watts and Michael Nealy, both of Snohomish County, of violating Washingtons consumer protection and prizes/promotions laws.

  "Obviously we're disappointed that it appears Portland will be left off the schedule for '08," said Mike Nealy, president of Global Events Group, the longtime promoter of the Champ Car event.
  
  "We knew they were talking (about unification) and this is the right thing for the sport, but we were hoping they were also talking about '09 and beyond."
  
  Nealy said he was informed of the deal and Portland's absence on the schedule Friday afternoon in a telephone call from Champ Car officials.When contacted by the Seattle P-I last week, Nealy explained that because of the negotiations between Champ Car and the Indy Racing League, Portland had made no advance ticket sales.Nealy also said no contract was broken so there were "no hard feelings legally."
  
  He remains optimistic that once the new series gets a year under its belt, it will return to the relatively untapped Northwest racing market, where Champ Car has a 24-year history.
  
  "There is going to be a lot of disappointment, but there's nothing we can do about that," Nealy said.
