Former Kent resident Frank Clark Neal of Des Moines died July 13, 2004, at St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way.He was 84.

Born Dec. 27, 1919, in Star, Ore., he married June Melander and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol during World War II.He lived in the Kent area for 40 years.

An aircraft mechanic at The Boeing Co. for 36 years, he retired in 1982.Mr. Neal also worked for the Air Force for seven years and was a volunteer firefighter for Des Moines.He was a member of the Auburn Moose Lodge, Buck Lake Campground Association, and Grace Lutheran Church in Des Moines.He enjoyed woodworking, camping, fishing and being a handyman.
