Edwin C. Neal

Trustee Edwin C. Neal, who was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2004, has been a Township resident for 30 years and joined the Brownstown Police Department when it was established, in March 1982.He retired as a sergeant after 20 years on the force.Neal also served eight years as a Wayne County Deputy Sheriff, and has served as a paid, on-call firefighter for 20 years.He currently owns his own business.Neal is an Emergency Medical Technician, a Michigan Disaster Medical Assistant, a member of the National Disaster Medical System (part of FEMA) since 1985, a member of the Downriver Mutual Aid SWAT Team from 1995-2000 and a member of the Downriver Mutual Aid Dive Rescue Team from 1987-2000.The trustee has attended Eastern Michigan University, Oakland County Community College and Macomb County Community College.He is a member of the Greater Detroit Chamber of Commerce, the Trenton Business Association, the Trenton Lions and the Downriver Irish American Club.He and his wife, Christine, have two daughters and one grandson.
