Nduati holds a Bsc in Agricultural Business Administration from University of Minnesota USA and an Msc in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nairobi -Kenya with a marketing specialty.Before joining USIU, Nduati was a lecturer at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) for fifteen years.He is very interested in agriculture and has done a lot of work in production and marketing of agricultural products.In 2003 he won research funding from African Technology Policy Studies (ATPS) to study the marketing and technological problems encountered by small scale dairy producers and the policies influencing the dairy sector.

Nduati teaches marketing and research to both undergraduate and MBA students.

He is currently a fellow with the Microfinance Management Institute (MFMI ).
