    As General Manager Business Processes for Sinclair Knight Merz, Rory is responsible for the global integration of the firm's functional support in the areas of environmental health and safety, legal and risk, information technology, investment in research and development, knowledge management, quality assurance, corporate sustainability, and investment in project delivery support services.He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Agr), a Master of Engineering Science (London), and a PhD in hydrological regionalisation from the University of Melbourne.He is a Chartered Professional Engineer with the Institution of Engineers Australia.

    Rory joined Sinclair Knight Merz in 1995 following the outsourcing of HydroTechnology, an arm of the Victorian government's water agency.He has over 25 years' experience in project and operational management, the provision of strategic advice and investigation, and in many design and risk assessment aspects of engineering and environmental hydrology.He is an Executive Director on the SKM Board, and currently serves on Board Committees concerned with Corporate Governance and Risk Management.

    Rory is an Honorary Fellow at both the University of Melbourne and Monash University, and is Australia's representative on the International Committee of Large Dam's flood committee; he is also a member of the NSW Dams Safety Committee Hydrology sub-committee.He has won a number of international and national awards for his research into different aspects of engineering and environmental hydrology, and in 2000 he was nominated national "Civil Engineer of the Year" by Engineers Australia.
