Rollin Nathan, CableVision's sales and marketing manager, said: "This is the first in a series of online surveys which will be posted regularly to our website, allowing us to gain information from our subscribers and potential customers. If we are going to better serve the market we need to know and understand their views and preferences."
The HDTV survey is designed to find out what the trends are in the Island's market and determine if CableVision's offer meets customer expectations.
"As more companies in Bermuda are selling HD-capable TV sets, and clearly more consumers are buying them," says Mr. Nathan, "we want to be certain that we are responding as closely as possible to the needs and desires of our customers. We have noticed a recent spike in interest in high-definition TV, and feel that now is the time to obtain some critical market feedback, especially as we are continuing to add new channels to our own HD line-up."
A recent survey conducted in the US by market researcher In-Stat found that High Definition Televisions are at the top of US consumers' holiday wish lists, bumping digital cameras down to the third spot.
"This is just one trend that makes us convinced we need to find out more about what the Bermuda market wants," added Mr. Nathan.
