Rodney's practice areas include Energy, Utilities, Human Resources, Diversity, & Non-Profit Management.
Rodney is the former Manager of Diversity and Inclusion for Waste Management where he helped in the integration of diversity and inclusion initiatives throughout the organization.
He also led development and delivery of diversity training and education and consulted leadership on implementation strategy.
Prior to joining Waste Management, Rodney served as the Regional Diversity Program Manager for Deloitte where he was responsible for leading the diversity recruiting and talent acquisition activity for three of Deloitte's seven US regions; and for setting diversity recruiting strategy and helping set overall recruiting strategy for both campus and experienced hires.
Mr. Nathan also served in diversity and inclusion roles as the Sr. Program Manager, Diversity at BMC Software and as the Director of Global Diversity & Ethics for Duke Energy.
Rodney has more than thirteen years of experience in the natural gas transmission & electricity business in the areas of employee relations, recruiting, governmental relations, natural gas operations, change management consulting and diversity.
Mr. Nathan has worked with Tenneco Energy, El Paso Energy, & Andersen Consulting.
He spent several years in the software industry with PROS Revenue Management, working in the areas of product development and project management.
Mr. Nathan's professional experience also includes working in the not-for-profit arena for INROADS/Houston, Inc. in the areas of training, development and recruitment.
And in paper recycling for Abitibi Consolidated in the areas of Communications and Governmental Affairs.
An active community volunteer, Rodney is past Chair of the Texas Lyceum.
He has worked with various arts and education organizations in the city of Houston, including the Cultural Arts Council of Houston/Harris County, the Museum of Fine Arts and others.
He has served on the boards of directors of Collaborative for Children, the Houston Area Urban League, and Camp for All and others.
He holds both a State appointment to the Texas Environmental Educational Trust Fund and a City appointment to the Miller Outdoor Theater Advisory Board.
He is active with the United Way of the Texas Gulf Coast and works with the Greater Houston Partnership and the Tulane Alumni Association.
In his spare time, Rodney is a huge football fan.
He enjoys music, golf and tennis, and loves to talk politics.
