Event Description:Opening Feb. 6th through March 10th, the work of Japanese painter Yoshiko Nakanishi of Sleepy Hollow will be exhibited at Full Circle Gallery, Gifts & Gourmet, 1241 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains, 914-421-1500.Opening reception is Feb 11th from 4 to 6pm, all are invited.
Yoshiko Nakanishi was born in downtown Osaka Japan, and moved to the U.S. about ten years ago.She grew up in her grandfather's house, where she watched him paint, write poetry, and tend to his courtyard garden, a quiet refuge in the big city.Yoshiko learned how to express herself in the traditional Japanese manner by watching her grandfather find nature in his various ways.She graduated from the Kyoto College of Art in 1987, and then worked as a fashion designer in Osaka until moving to the U.S. in 1996.
Yoshiko studied brush art under Michele Mozian from 2001, and became a member of the Oriental Brush Artist Guild in 2003.
