WATERFORD - Bernadette C. Nadeau, 89, of 88 Saratoga Ave., Waterford, passed away quietly Thursday, February 5, 2004, at home after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease surrounded by her family and friends who loved her, and her guardian "Red."

Bernadette was educated at St. Marie's School in Cohoes and was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Congress Street, Cohoes. Bernadette was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion for several years. She enjoyed sewing and making clothes and worked as a seamstress for many years. Having gotten her driver's license at the "young age" of 54, she loved traveling and visiting family and friends in Atlanta, GA and parts of Florida during the winter months and enjoyed spending time in the country during the nicer weather. Some of her favorite things to do were crocheting, gardening and going to bingo.The thing she loved most of all was spending time with her family.
