One incumbent selectman who does not agree that Barry is the best available choice for town clerk/tax collector is Benjamin Nadeau.
...
With his family's Chase Street residence located mere steps from Town Hall, Nadeau has based his campaign on a platform of enhanced customer service, including opening the office at least one Saturday per month and keeping it open later, until 7 p.m., on Tuesdays.
"I'd like to make the office much more customer-friendly," says Nadeau, 32, a lifelong Hudson resident."I'd answer phone calls in a timely manner. And if we are busy, take a message and get back to you, which is not done now."
Instead of charging the $5 fee for documents requiring a notary public, Nadeau would make that a free service for Hudson residents, he says.
His experience as a selectman and Budget Committee member has taught him the ins and outs of town government, Nadeau says.As for managerial experience, as a supervisor at Home Depot he had up to 30 people working underneath him at a time, he adds.
