Featured speaker will be occupational therapist Barbara Nadeau, MA, OTR/L, who will discuss strategies to help stroke patients recover as much of their former skills as possible.Nadeau is the Education and Community Services director at the Brain Injury Association of Connecticut, and has worked with individuals with brain injury in in-patient, out-patient, and homecare settings.She holds a master's degree in neuroscience, and has served as a faculty member in occupational therapy at the University of Hartford and as an adjunct at Quinnipiac University.

"What happens, especially in car accidents, is the brain will bounce forward with such force that it's hitting the front of the skull," said Barbara Nadeau, education and community services director for the Brain Injury Association of Connecticut.
