Before joining Welsh & Katz , Mr. Myrick was a partner in the Chicago firm of Fitch, Even, Tabin & Flannery and served as Chief Patent Counsel for Kraft Foods Inc., where he had worldwide responsibility for all technology law matters, including proprietary technology, right-to-use studies and opinions, strategic technology alliances, research and development agreements, licensing, and a portfolio of several thousand patents.
Mr. Myrick practices in a wide variety of technology and business areas, from food and packaging technology to solid state physics, integrated circuits, and organic chemistry.Mr. Myrick brings an unusual degree of technical creativity to his client representation; he is an inventor or co-inventor of patents in diverse technical areas.
