Mr. Myrick is a native of Oregon, born in Gardiner and raised in Portland.He holds the degrees of Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Music and Master of Music from the University of Oregon and has been at Northwest Christian College since 1949.He was organist at First Christian Church in Eugene from 1936 to 1939; organist and choir director at Ebbert Memorial Methodist Church in Springfield, Oregon from 1947 to 1968, except for one year at First Congregational Church in 1949; Chior director at First Christian Church in Springfield; and organist at First Methodist Church in Eugene before going to Central Presbyterian Church in September of 1969.From 1953 to 1959, Mr. Myrick was also the instructor of organ at the University of Oregon.
Myrick is past Dean of the Eugene chapter of American Guild of Organists, a member of Phi Mu Alpha music honorary fraternity, Association of Disciple Musicians, and Presbyterian Association of Musicians.
