Brandt Munsen has been appointed Northern State University's Director of Admissions.
In this new position Munsen, who began work Feb. 1, will oversee and coordinate all efforts of the admissions office with emphasis on new student recruitment.Prior to his appointment at NSU, Munsen worked with Education Assistance Corporation in Aberdeen.
"I am excited to be working with admissions at NSU," said Munsen, "I am dedicated to working toward stronger relationships, increasing communication and improving the services that we offer to students, parents and high schools, no matter where they might be."
Brandt, who holds degrees in both business and business education, is a 1996 graduate of NSU.After coaching football at Aberdeen Central and Roncalli high schools, Munsen moved on to teach business and computers as well as holding the position of head football coach at St. Mary's High School in Sleepy Eye, Minn., for four years.
Munsen is married and lives in Aberdeen with his wife, Amy, and their two children, Brooklyn, 5, and Brady, 2.
