In a testimony about the influence of Camp Nunny Cha-ha, Monica Mullins, dean of women at Oklahoma Baptist University, said she never went to camp as a youth, but served five years on the Nunny staff. "One summer while I was working as a counselor, a young camper came up to me and handed me an envelope and ran off. I didn't know who she was, but in the envelope were a bracelet she had made and a note that said 'I love you,'" recalled Mullins. She said the girl wrote her every week for a year, and came to OBU as a student. "She called me a couple of weeks ago, and said she and her husband are going to Southeast Asia as career missionaries," Mullins said. Mullins added that one of the first people hired to work for her after she came to OBU was a Nunny camper she had been a counselor for.
