George F. Mullen , Sr.
CHARLOTTE - George F. Mullen Sr. , 82 , died July 31 , 2001. Funeral services were 11 a.m. today at Mulberry Baptist Church where he was a member. Burial followed at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
A native of Lincoln County , he was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran , a retired driver for Greyhound Bus Lines and member of the Rich Hambleton Sunday School Class at his church.
Survivors include his wife , Clairee Spargo Mullen ; four sons , George F. Mullen Jr. of Concord and James E. Mullen , Ronald Dean Mullen and Brent Lewis Mullen , all of Charlotte ; 11 grandchildren , Brent Mullen , Nicholaus Mullen , George Martin Mullen , Dotti Porter , Stuart Mullen , Jessica Mullen , Laura Holder , Tammy Webb , Kevin Dale Skogen , Sandra Jackson and Nancy Bell ; and several great-grandchildren.
