Mr Ken Morin, I Eng, CEnv, MICE, FCIWM Caledonian Environment Centre

Ken has around 30 years experience of the waste management industry and professional training as a Civil Engineer, also holds an HNC in Business Studies, Diploma in Waste Management and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (FCIWM) as well as a former Chairman of the Scottish Centre of the CIWM and also of the Environmental Service Association. From 1996 to 2000, he was a founder Board Member of SEPA West. He is a Chartered Environmentalist and a Chartered Waste Manager. Previously held various positions within Shanks' waste management operations including Technical Services Manager and Technical Director, before being appointed Managing Director of their Northern division and from 1999 to early 2001 was Director of Business Development for the Shanks Group, covering all of the Group's operations in the UK, Belgium and Holland and a member of its Executive Committee. In May 2001 Ken became Managing Director of Alba Resource Recovery Ltd., a new company formed to provide Scotland's integrated waste management services and recover resources, primarily from the municipal waste stream, in line with the National Waste Strategy. In August of 2005 Ken joined Faber Maunsell as Director - Waste Management and in August 2006 took up the position of Commercial Director at Caledonian Environment Centre.

Ken is the Commercial Director for both the Sustainability Centre and the Caledonian Environment Centre.Ken oversees the project progress, provides guidance and where required, get involved in meetings with participating SMEs and other parts of the project.

Ken Morin Commercial Director

Ken Morin has joined us as Commercial Director for the Environment Centre.Ken brings an added commercial dimension to our work and will help us develop the waste/resource research programme but also will help extend our interests in energy and planning areas also.

Alba's managing director Ken Morin was scheduled to give evidence on the company's plans for the site including details of transportation matters and the proposed wate processing activities which would be used at Westfield.
