Angelo Moreno-Director, Advanced OrchestraA former graduate of music at UC Davis, he received his Master's Degree in conducting under the tutelage of Dr. Kern Holoman.In the fall of 2002 he completed his California State Certified Teaching Credential from Sacramento State Department of Music and Education.He has played violin for 21 years, studying with teachers such as Lora Levin, Robert Slaughter, Elizabeth Fields and Michael Sand.He is a former member and Concert Master of the Napa Valley Philharmonic under the baton of Dr. Roberto Gonzalez.At UC Davis, Angelo served as Principal Second violin for six years.Angelo participated with the UCD Baroque Ensemble as soloist and Concert Master for 7 years under the direction of Phebe Craig & Michael Sand.

Currently, Angelo serves the Davis Unified School District as Orchestra Director at Holmes Junior High, Emerson Junior High, and Davis Senior High schools.

In addition, Angelo is a private violin Instructor of ten years in both Davis and Napa.To contrast his classical endeavors, Angelo plays electric violin with the Latin Jazz group, Akanthos.He values spending his free time with his wife, Scherezada, and daughters, Giavanna & Dchenin, in Woodland.
