"Injecting directly into the tumor provides more drug to the site where you want the anti-tumor activity to occur," said Dr. Moran. The therapy will take place in conjunction with chemotherapy.Patients will undergo the injections five days each month for approximately 2 to 6 months.
The objective of this study is to determine whether ONYX-015 can establish improvements in lasting reduction in the size of the treated tumor and increase clinical benefit. This open label, single arm study of ONYX-015 plus intravenous 5-fluorouracil and cisplatin will involve 120 patients.
