Victor, 37, began working at Costa Rica Expeditions more than a decade ago in Jan. 1992, and has dedicated 13 years to the hotel business.It was in 1992 that his brother invited him to come to Monteverde from their native town in Guanacaste Province to make a career in hospitality service.With few opportunities to achieve a better life on the family farm, Victor packed his bags and headed for Monteverde."I wanted to get experience and learn," he says, "and improve the quality of my life."

Victor, born on April 28, 1970, has a demanding job but when he gets time off he makes the most of it by spending time with his family, practicing guitar, karaoke singing and dancing.He is also one of the best players on the Lodge's soccer team.Victor speaks English and Spanish and has three children, Victor Manuel, 14, Diego, 10, and Jeremy, 4.
