Robert R. Mora , 87 , passed away on Wednesday , May 10 , 2000 in a local hospital. Mr. Mora was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church , member of Knights of Columbus in Falfurrias , Texas and a member of Lulac Council of Falfurrias. He was a real estate broker , and worked for the Naval Air Station as a purchasing agent. Mr. Mora was in charge of claims and transportation during World War II. He was an avid jogger , runner and bicyclist. He was the superintendent for United Carbon Co.. Inc near Falfurrias , served on the Brooks County School Board for 15 years , the State Labor Department under Governor Aldred. He operated a grocery Feed and Seed Store and service station in Falfurrias , Texas. He was a loving , devoted husband , father , grandfather and brother and will be missed dearly by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife , Guadalupe Canales Mora of Corpus Christi , Texas ; a daughter , Rosario ( Adolfo ) Cantu of Plano , Texas ; a son , Roberto ( Laura ) Mora of Laredo , Texas ; three brothers , Alexandro ( Luz ) Mora of Harlingen , Texas ; Daniel Mora of Falfurrias , Texas ; Gilbert ( Emma ) Mora of Corpus Christi , Texas ; five grandchildren , Robert X. Cantu of Dallas , Texas ; Yvette ( Gus ) Hermosillo of San Antonio , Texas ; Roxanne Elissa Cantu of Austin , Texas ; Leticia Jo Mora of San Antonio , Texas ; Ricardo Andres Cantu of Plano , Texas ; 2 great-grandchildren , Matthew Vincent Cantu of Dallas , Texas ; Daniella Hermosillo of San Antonio , Texas ; numerous nieces , nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held from 5 : 00 p.m. to 9 : 00 p.m. on Friday , May 12 , 2000 with a rosary to be recited at 7 : 00 p.m. that evening. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 : 30 a.m. on Saturday , May 13 , 2000 at Most Precious Blood. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
