    Mrs. Moore had worked the past 12 years as a tour guide at the Tryon Palace Restoration.She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and attended Riverdale United Methodist Church.

    Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Samuel S. Moore.

    She is survived by one son, Samuel S. Moore Jr. of Nags Head, NC; three daughters, Marlene Moore Corbett of Matthews, NC, Mary Moore Lownes of Moore, SC, and Martha Moore Gore of Greenville, NC; two brothers, Roger C. Mallard of New Bern and Randall G. Mallard of Clinton, NC; one sister, Gloria Mallard Gray of Walkersville, MD; and five grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2003, at Pollock-Best Chapel with the Rev. Neal Salter officiating.

    Private interment will be in Greenleaf Memorial Park.

    Leverne ‘Verne' Samuel Moore , 82 , of Paso Robles died Saturday , May 12 , 2001 , at his residence.

    A memorial service will be held at 2 : 30 p.m. Saturday , June 2 , at Trinity Lutheran Church in Paso Robles.

    Mr. Moore was born Jan.29 , 1919 , in New Middletown , Ohio.He was an Army Air Force officer during World War II.In the 1950s he was an electronic engineer for NBC in Cleveland , Ohio.He then joined Hughes Aircraft Co. and moved around with his engineering assignment in the missile and aerospace programs.He retired in 1976.

    Mr. Moore was very active in amateur radio for more than 45 years.He also enjoyed woodworking , astronomy , being in three campaign groups , and teaching prospective HAMs Morse code.Mr. Moore was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Paso Robles.He and his wife , Marge , were college sweethearts and were happily married for 58 years.

    Mr. Moore is survived by his wife , Margaret ‘Marge' Moore of Paso Robles ; daughters Patricia Lynn and husband Ryan John Riley of Reno , Nev. , Loretta Ann and husband Jerry Dale Parker of Paso Robles ; grandchildren Robert Verl Riley of Reno , Nev. , Alyssa Kay Riley of Davis , Kaleb Clay Bussey of Paso Robles , Amanda Margaret Parker of Paso Robles and James Verne Parker of Paso Robles.

    Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Partners of the Central Coast , 277 South St. , San Luis Obispo , 93401.

    Arrangements are under the direction of the Chapel of the Roses of Atascadero.
