As a highlight of Australia Day celebrations at the club, general manager Jason Moore unveiled the extension plans, which will triple the existing club floor area and provide outdoor entertainment areas, a carpark and complete refurbishment of the existing club building.
"You won't recognise the club," Mr Moore said."It'll look like brand-new premises, but we'll still be retaining our friendly atmosphere."
Referring to its sail-like roof, Riverstone MP John Aquilina hailed the building as "the Opera House of the Hawkesbury".
"It will stand out in the Hawkesbury," Mr Moore said."It will enable us to showcase what the Hawkesbury can achieve , that we can be
modern and upmarket."
With club membership expanding from 2900 to 4000 over the past two years, Mr Moore said the club expected membership to more than double, to 10,000, following the extension.
"We plan to attract a lot of corporate membership, as well as provide a venue for local residents to hold functions or just to come and have a coffee," Mr Moore said.
