Alyce J. Moore, 70, of Gloversville, died Thursday at the Fulton County Residential Health Care Facility.
She was born on April 26, 1931 in Amsterdam, the daughter of John and Jane Chorzelewski Hourigan.She was a 1949 graduate of St. Mary's High School in Amsterdam.She received her R.N. degree from the Nathan Littauer Hospital School of Nursing in 1953.
Mrs. Moore was a resident of Gloversville for more than 50 years.She was employed as a registered nurse at Nathan Littauer Hospital and also worked in private residences in Fulton County.She was a night supervisor at the Fulton County Infirmary, where she was employed for 20 years and retired in 1990.
She was a member of the Nathan Littauer Hospital Nurses Alumni, CSEA Retirees and the 55 Plus Senior Citizens of Gloversville.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband, Gerald E. Moore, whom she married Nov. 12, 1954.She is also survived by two daughters, Pamela Meier of Fairport and Valorie Jones of Asheboro, N.C.; two grandchildren, Lauren Ives and Jessica Ives, both of Fairport; and several aunts.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Hollenbeck Funeral Home, 4 Second Ave., Gloversville, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday.The Rev. Wayne Jones will officiate.Interment will take place in Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown.
