Jim Monroe of the Mecklenburg Cooperative Extension Service says if the weather remains warm, this can be done as late as early to mid-November.Hopefully, there will be sufficient warm weather for roots to develop before cold weather arrives.
If rainfall has not begun, a homeowner can wait for late February and early March.
