Traffic flow in light of children's safety was another problem raised by DRC Chairman A.J. Monroe. He said the issue needed to be worked out prior to approval. He also questioned whether there would be meets at the site.
Whipps said she has not hosted any meets at her current location and has an agreement with Hobart High School to use their facility for meets. She said they are mulling a future expansion to an adjacent lot they do not own.In that expansion phase they may consider hosting meets at the site, located at the southwest corner of Pan Am and Delta drives.
Monroe proposed Whipps be required to seek approval of the Board of Works prior to hosting any type of meet at the facility if she goes forward with the plans.
