  Lynda is the author of two collections of poetry: a slow dance in the flames and what my body knows, both published by Coteau Books. Her work has been published in a number of Canadian literary magazines, and broadcast on CBC radio. what my body knows was recently shortlisted for a Saskatchewan Book Award for poetry. She is presently at work on a collection of original lullabies titled through a sea of stars. Lynda studied creative writing at the University of Saskatchewan and at Sage Hill Writing Experience. She is a founding member of the poetry group Sans Nom, which has been in existence for ten years. She is past president of Prince Albert Writers, a member of the league of Canadian Poets, the Saskatchewan Writers Guild, Saskatoon Writers Coop and Festival of Words. She has served on the Board of Directors for Sage Hill Writing Experience and the Saskatchewan Writers Guild. She teaches creative writing classes at SIAST Woodland Campus in Prince Albert and has facilitated various creative writing workshops.

  Lynda Monahan has published her poetry in literary periodicals such as GRAIN, Other Voices and Museletters, and had it broadcast on several CBC Radio programmes.She teaches creative writing at the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST) in Prince Albert. a slow dance in the flames is her first published poetry collection.Lynda Monahan was born in Prince Albert, and has lived there most of her life.She currently divides her time between that city and Waskesiu, Saskatchewan.

She has taught creative writing at SIAST Woodlands Campus for the past several years and facilitates a variety of writing workshops for schools and organizations across the province. She was the managing editor for Spring Volume !V and a mentor in the ArtSmart Youth Mentorship Program.

  Lynda Monahan is the author of two collections of poetry, "a slow dance in the flames" in 1998 and "what my body knows" in 2003, both published by Coteau Books.She has had work published in a number of Canadian literary magazines, and in the anthology "Testimonies".Lynda is currently a member of the board of Sage Hill Writing Experience and on the council for the League of Canadian Poets.She teaches creative writing at SIAST Woodland Campus in Prince Albert and facilitates writing workshops for groups in a variety of Saskatchewan cities and towns.In the spirit of mixed media she has instructed, along with a professional photographer, a Photo-journaling workshop at the P. A. Youth Outreach Program.Recently she coordinated a multi-media workshop for the Eagle Program (for at-risk kids), which culminated in an exhibit of the students writing and artwork at the Grace Campbell gallery in June 2004.
