Anand MittalAfter completing 3 years' diploma from Government Institute of Hotel Management in 1986, Anand worked in several five star hotels in India and abroad for about 12 years as 'Chef' in the Food and Beverage Production, 10 years of which have been at an executive level.Since the last about 3 years he is Dean and Professor, Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, 11 R.A. Lines, Dogra Mandir Lane, Meerut Cantt 250 001, U.P., India.Besides academics he looks after several activities like placement, exams, etc.This Institute was set up in 1987, conducts a 3 year diploma and another 4 years degree course, has an excellent placement record and is recognized by the Government of India.

When you apply for a job, there is a lot of effort that you put in.Like preparing the resume, the application letter and yourself.An employer puts in a similar kind of effort.He has to insert one or many advertisements in several newspapers, read through the application letters to short-list the candidates who seem suitable, contact them either through letters or telephones and finally single out a day or more when he has to break free from his daily work and interview all the candidates.This entire exercise involves his time but also a precious resource like money.Then he also invests time in training the new recruit because they take time to get productive.
