James Mitchell: Photography

James Mitchell grew up in New York City moving to California in 1970.He has been taking photographs for well over 40 years.He graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute and got an MFA from Lone Mountain College.In his photographic career He has studied with Lisette Model, been an assistant to Dorothea Lange, received an NEA grant, and his work has been seen in many exhibits and publications.

He also has extensive teaching experience having taught at SF Art Institute, Stanford University, City College of SF, SF State University, Lone Mountain College, Ohlone College, and Chabot College.—editor
