With services offered in Edison and Plainfield locations, the Regional Cancer Center offers state-of-the-art cancer care from evaluation and diagnosis through treatment and follow-up in a compassionate, supportive environment.Some of the latest technology, including Gamma Knife radiosurgery and the R2 ImageChecker, are provided by highly qualified personnel, including a multidisciplinary oncology team consisting of medical and radiation oncologists, pathologists, surgeons and radiation therapists; oncology nurses, many of which hold special certification in oncology patient care by the Oncology Nursing Society, specially trained in cancer treatment and certified to administer chemotherapy treatment; counselors, who address a full range of psychosocial needs from diagnosis through bereavement; clergy to support alLoad('button12',new Array(/*l faiths; and physical, occupational, speech and nutritional therapists.The Regional Cancer Center offers a full range of outpatient testing and therapies, as well as an inpatient unit for those who require overnight stays.The team also participates in numerous clinical trials, through which patients receive the most up-to-date treatments and medications.
