   So where does one start? Straight by planning a career, says the counsellor. We know bad news like this isn't easy to deal with. And, ideally every psychologist would recommend that little amount of guilt to be there so that it helps you start afresh. Spending too much time feeling guilty, frustrated or being bogged down by the constant nagging from your parents and others can actually delay the process, says Dr Misra.
   
   Often, say psychologists, the realisation that you didn't do your best gives you a feeling of wrongdoing. Remember you need a blueprint for five years - right from your college to your first job. Seems weird. But, says Dr. Misra, this is what's going to really work.
   
   Next job, to find your aptitude. In other words, if you are the academic kind or one who learns more from a hands-on experience. Now this may require speaking to an adult, a teacher or a senior - one who could listen to you without being judgmental about everything. That's important because you may be still reeling under the effect of ‘I'm not good' feel.
   
   Hard work and a good plan, says Dr. Misra, would see you through.
   
   Acknowledge your faults and make tangible promises.
