On Thursday, April 13, 2000, the Resource Center, a nonprofit agency dedicated to promoting volunteerism, community leadership, and nonprofit excellence in Genesee County, will honor outgoing board member, Donald Misener, with the Center's Community Connection Award.
Misener, Corporate Controller for Genesys Health System, has filled several leadership roles at the Resource Center, most recently as board treasurer and as chairman of the Finance Committee.Before joining the agency in 1997, Misener was very active in Leadership Flint, one of the Resource Center's founding organizations.

Misener, a 25-year Genesys employee, plans to continue volunteering in other areas.Most recently, he was elected to the board of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, Great Lakes Chapter.
